Rabobank Australasia
We entered the Australasian market in 1990 with the acquisition of the Primary Industry Bank of Australia (PIBA), establishing a representative office in Sydney. We registered our first branch in New Zealand in 1996, closely followed by the purchase of Wrightson Farmers Finance Ltd in 1998.
Now, as the second largest lender to primary producers in Australia, and equal third in New Zealand, Rabobank operates in four core businesses, with a primary focus on Rural Financial Services, Corporate Financial Services, Business Banking and RaboDirect.
