Rabobank Australia & New Zealand has appointed Andrew Davis to the position of head of corporate financial services.
Mr Davis has also assumed the role of deputy chief executive and director of Rabobank Australia Limited and Rabo Australia Limited, two of the banking group's main Australian operating entities.
Mr Davis joined Rabobank from ABN AMRO Australia, where he was a global managing director & head of loan products.
Mr Davis has more than 20 years experience in investment banking and financial markets, both in Australia and overseas.
Announcing the appointment, Rabobank Australia & New Zealand chief executive officer Bruce Dick said Mr Davis' extensive experience across the corporate financial services market made him a invaluable addition to the bank's senior management team.
"Rabobank's corporate business is at a crucial stage of development in Australia and New Zealand. We are a leading banker to the food and agribusiness sectors in both countries and are steadily growing our presence in this market," he said.
"Andrew's expertise and experience in a wide range of corporate financial services makes him perfectly positioned to lead this area of Rabobank's business to the next level."
Mr Davis' previous positions have included head of project finance & advisory with ABN AMRO Australia and managing director & head of structured finance for BZW Australia. He also spent a number of years in London with Barclays and BZW.
Mr Davis, who has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, began his career as a chartered accountant with Touche Ross.
