Rabobank Australia and New Zealand has announced the appointment of Wendy Voss as Senior Analyst, Animal Proteins, within its Food and Agribusiness Research (FAR) unit.
Ms Voss replaces Bill Cordingley, who was appointed head of FAR earlier this year.
Prior to joining Rabobank, Ms Voss held a senior role at Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), where she was responsible for market analysis and support for the Korean market, based in their Sydney head office.
Announcing the appointment, Mr Cordingley said that Ms Voss's analytical skills and substantial industry knowledge would be a great asset to the bank.
"Wendy is a highly regarded member of Australia's food and agribusiness community and a passionate advocate for Australia's red meat industry; she will be a valuable asset for the bank and its clients," Mr Cordingley said.
Ms Voss comes from a family farming background in southern NSW and has worked with MLA for three years primarily analysing the Korean market, with some time spent working with the Japanese and Taiwanese markets, for the Australian red meat industry.
In addition to her analytical skills and industry knowledge, Wendy is fluent in Korean and has a Bachelor of Economics/Bachelor of Arts (Asian studies) degree from the Australian National University.
"Wendy has a strong knowledge of the Australian beef sector, with a depth of experience in global red meat market analysis. Her appointment to the FAR team at Rabobank will add enormous value to the Rabobank network and, most importantly, to our clients across the animal proteins, fisheries and seafood sectors," Mr Cordingley said.
Ms Voss joins a team of six FAR analysts spread across Sydney, Melbourne and Christchurch and another sixty analysts globally.
