Rabobank Australia & New Zealand has relocated to new Australasian headquarters in Sydney's Darling Park complex.
The bank signed a 10-year lease on the premises in Darling Park Tower 3, the third and final stage of the premium Darling Park complex, last year and this week took occupancy of five levels of the 18-floor tower with sky signage and highrise lift lobby signage rights on the building.
The Rabobank brand has been a prominent part of the city skyline since the sky signage was illuminated on Tower 3 in July this year.
The local arm of the world's leading food and agribusiness bank, Rabobank Australia & New Zealand employs approximately 460 people in its Sydney headquarters supporting an expanding branch network throughout regional Australia and New Zealand. The bank is one of Australia's leading rural lenders and a significant provider of business and corporate banking and financial services to the Australian food and agribusiness sector.
Rabobank Australia and New Zealand CEO Bruce Dick said growth in head office operations, resulting from the bank's ongoing expansion in the region, had made the move to the new premises necessary. The bank had previously been headquartered at 115 Pitt Street in Sydney, with some staff located in neighbouring Angel Place.
"The new premises in Darling Park 3 allow us to house all our head office employees in one centralised location and will also cater for further expansion in the future," he said. "Features such as sustainable design, an abundance of natural light and airy open spaces make it an excellent working environment for our staff."
Mr Dick said a major benefit of the new headquarters was the premises' environmentally-sustainable features.
"In keeping with the bank's commitment to corporate social responsibility, Darling Park 3 is one of the most energy-efficient commercial high-rise towers in Australia. The building is the first conventionally-designed commercial office tower in Australia to target a five star Australian Building Greenhouse rating," he said.
"Our interior fit out has been designed to complement the sustainable qualities of the building, with strict policies on waste management, energy consumption and use of sustainable materials all in place."
