Leading rural lender Rabobank has joined forces with Australia Post to provide the bank’s clients with access to business banking services through more than 1,300 Australia Post outlets nationally.
Formally launching the new facility, Rabobank general manager Rural Australia Peter Knoblanche said the partnership significantly increased access to Rabobank’s transactional services throughout rural Australia.
“The partnership with Australia Post gives Rabobank’s clients – many of whom live in remote rural locations – the convenience and flexibility of being able to visit selected Australia Post outlets to conduct their business banking transactions through Bank@Post,” he said.
Mr Knoblanche said the Bank@Post™ service was ideal for clients who did not wish to make deposits by mail or where internet banking was not appropriate.
Terry Stephens, Group Manager Financial Services at Australia Post, said he was pleased to extend the Bank@Post business banking service to Rabobank customers.
“Australia Post offers a wide range of financial services to communities through our extensive retail network, with many of our outlets located in rural Australia,” he said.
The Bank@Post business banking service enables clients of Rabobank’s primary All in One account to undertake a range of transactions such as cheque or cash deposits, cash withdrawals and account balances.
In order to use the services, clients must be holders of a Rabobank Visa Debit card and some fees apply.
Many Australia Post outlets offer extended trading hours, with some locations open on Saturdays. Those that offer the business banking service through Bank@Post are listed on Rabobank’s website at www.rabobank.com.au/rural/Bank@Post.
Rabobank has a network of 49 branch locations throughout Australia. It has been rated best agribusiness bank in Australia for three years running by the independent Merrill Lynch Australian Banks Retail Business Franchise Review.
