Step 1

Download and complete the relevant application form

Step 2

Download and read the Client Verification Checklist

For both Individuals or non-Individuals, see what identity documents you are required to provide before Rabobank can open your account.

Certified copies of identification are accepted by Rabobank as long as they have been certified by someone from the following list or any other person before whom a statutory declaration can be made under the Statutory Declarations Regulations 1993.

  • Legal practitioners / Judges / Magistrates / Commonwealth court CEOs / Registrar or deputy registrar of a court / Justice of the Peace / Patent Attorney / Trademarks Attorney
  • Chiropractors / Dentists / Medical Practitioners / Nurses / Optometrists / Pharmacists / Physiotherapists / Psychologists / Veterinary Surgeons
  • Notary public / Police officer / Sheriff
  • A person in charge of a post office or a permanent post office employee with 2 or more years service
  • An Australian consular or diplomatic officer
  • An officer with 2 or more continuous years of service with a financial institution
  • An officer with 2 or more continuous years of service with a finance company
  • An officer or authorised representative of an AFSL with 2 or more continuous years of service
  • A member of the Institute of Chartered accountants, CPA Australia or the National Institute of Accountants with 2 or more years of membership.
  • A member of the Commonwealth Parliament, State Parliament, a Territory Legislative or local government authority
  • Teacher employed on a full-time basis at a school or tertiary institution
  • Any other person before whom a statutory declaration can be made under the Statutory Declarations Regulations 1993

OR

Take original identity documents to one of our branches to have your identity verified.

If you have been previously identified by Rabobank, you do not need to complete this step and may proceed to Step 4. Otherwise, this step must be completed for each account owner and each authorised signatory.

 

Step 3

Download, read and complete FATCA Certification Form.

 

Step 4

Mail all your forms and deposit cheque

If the deposit account is to be opened via mail via cheque, you should make your cheque payable to "Rabobank Australia Limited" and cross it "not negotiable". Please note that we do not accept cash deposits.

OR

Take your forms and cheque to any Rabobank branch. Please call 1300 30 30 33 for your nearest branch. Should you wish to open the account via direct credit, Please call your nearest branch on 1300 30 30 33 or client services on 1800 632 113 for further assistance.

Cheques should be made payable to "Rabobank Australia Limited" including a cross with "not negotiable". Please note that we do not accept cash deposits.

Once we've processed your application and deposit cheque, we'll send you a confirmation acknowledging the commencement date, amount, interest rate, interest payment frequency and maturity date (as applicable) of your investment.
