Sydney-based RaboDirect customers can look forward to a summer of tennis with the online savings bank signing on as the Official Finance and Banking Partner of the Apia International Sydney 2015.

Greg McAweeney, Group Executive RaboDirect and Marketing, said the partnership represents a new sporting venture for the bank which will, in 2015, embark on the fifth year of its foundation partnership with the RaboDirect Melbourne Rebels.

“This is RaboDirect’s first Sydney-based sport sponsorship and the tournament provides us with the perfect springboard into our new above-the-line brand campaign which will launch in the New Year,” said McAweeney.

Tournament Director Alistair MacDonald said he was pleased to announce RaboDirect, recently awarded Savings Institution of the Year for a third year running by the AFR Smart Investor magazine, as a new tournament sponsor.

“We look forward to passing the benefits of our Apia International Sydney sponsorship directly to some of our Sydney customers to enjoy”

“The Apia International Sydney 2015 is delighted to welcome RaboDirect Australia to its family of valued event sponsors,” said MacDonald.

“I’m looking forward to working together to make the tournament bigger and better.”

The Apia International Sydney 2015, will take place at Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre from 11 to 17 January 2015.
