Vote Now for 2015 Conversions for Community Volunteer of the Year!

RaboDirect is thrilled to announce that voting for the 2015 Conversions for Community Volunteer of the Year is now open.

The program, in its second year, recognises and rewards the hard work and dedication of volunteers in the Victorian Rugby community.

Earlier this year the Conversions for Community judging panel selected eight finalists from a significant number of nominations received from across the state. Each finalist was awarded $5000 for their Rugby community of choice, $1000 for themselves in a RaboDirect High Interest Savings Account and an invitation to attend a Melbourne Rebels match as VIP guests.

RaboDirect are now calling on the public to get involved and vote to determine who will become the 2015 Conversions for Community Volunteer of the Year.

The eight finalists are as follows (in alphabetical order):

  • Sandi Ash (Harlequin Rugby Club)
  • Vicki Callaway (Maroondah Rugby Club)
  • Bernadette Dinneen (Marcellin College Rugby Parents Support Group)
  • David Hawkins (Endeavour Hills Rugby Union Football Club)
  • Kevin James (St Kevin’s College Rugby Association)
  • Mick Millington (Melton Rugby Union Football Club)
  • Steve Tia (Rebels Women’s XV)
  • Nesa Tuigamala (Northern Rugby Union Football Club)

To vote simply visit ConversionsforCommunity.com.au and select your favourite volunteer to give them the chance to win an additional $5000 for their Rugby community.

RaboDirect, Group Executive RaboDirect & Marketing and Conversions for Community judge, Greg McAweeney said the high calibre of nominations in 2015 made selecting the eight finalists a tough process.

“We were inundated with so many fantastic nominations in 2015 and the final eight are truly deserving candidates for the Volunteer of the Year title. On behalf of RaboDirect I wish them the best of luck during the voting period.”

Voting closes on Friday 29 September and participants are welcome to vote multiple times. The 2015 Conversions for Community Volunteer of the Year will be announced at the Melbourne Rebels Weary Dunlop lunch on Friday 16 October.
