17/10/2019The Rabobank National Merino Show and Ram Sale is one of Rabobank’s longest running sponsorships, demonstrating the bank’s commitment to the Australian wool industry and agriculture.
The RaboTruck took centre stage when it rolled into this year’s show in Dubbo on August 27-29.
While the final decision between the judging team was taking place, RaboResearch senior analyst Angus Gidley-Baird gave a brief update on the current state of the wool industry.
“There are a lot of uncertainties, it has not been a great season, but it’s very critical that we support the wool industry and farming community,” Angus explained.
Rabobank Country Banking Executive Marcel van Doremaele presented the sash and the $5000 cheque to Chris Clohan, and his heavy weight 175.5 kilogram 2019 champion ram from Alfoxton Stud, Armidale.
Without doubt, the RaboTruck lifted the event – it was literally ‘a vehicle’ to share the story of ag.
During the show, approximately 200 delegates and judges also enjoyed an informal luncheon hosted by Rabobank.
