Processing Cut-Off Times for Foreign Currency Third Party Payments

When transferring funds, processing cut-off times apply (see below). Funds sent overseas are usually received by the recipient within 3 business days of processing the payment.*

We only process payments on business days. If you give us a Foreign Currency Account Payment Request Form on a day that is not a business day, we will treat it as received by us on the next business day before 11:00am. Note that for HKD, JPY, NZD and SGD, the instruction cut off time is 11:00am on the business day prior to the business day on which you wish the funds to be processed. For example, to make an HKD payment for Monday 7th, the Foreign Currency Account Payment Request Form must be submitted to our Client Services team by 11:00am on Friday 4th. Every reference to a day on this page means a business day.

Processing Cut-off Times for Fund Conversions

To convert funds in your Foreign Currency Account to AUD and transfer it to a linked Nominated Account or to convert AUD to foreign currency and transfer it to your Foreign Currency Account please call our Client Services Team on 1800 025 484 by the following processing cut-off time. Funds will be converted and processed on the processing day listed for each currency. Alternatively, you can send us a secure message via internet banking. Please note that requests via secure message have a two-business day response time. As a result, the processing times below cannot be guaranteed if requests are sent via secure message. Once processed, the funds should appear in your account on the same day.

Interest may be paid on credit balances held in Foreign Currency Accounts as per the table below. Interest is calculated daily and paid monthly in arrears on the first calendar day of the month.

You will need to complete a Foreign Currency Account Application Form. Your Account Manager can assist you with this process.

You will need to complete a Foreign Currency Account Payment Request Form and email it to sydney.client.services@rabobank.com by the processing cut-off time (see processing cut-off times above).

To receive a payment from a third party, you must provide them with your account name and number, the foreign currency type and Rabobank’s SWIFT code information. To assist you to provide this information, we suggest you use the Foreign Currency Account Inward Payment Instructions which were emailed to you upon account opening. You can also download a copy of the Inward Payment Instructions via internet banking.

Users with full internet banking access can view transactions made from 12 January 2026 on their Foreign Currency Account via the Transactions screen on internet and mobile banking. For transactions made before 12 January 2026, refer to the statements available via internet and mobile banking. If you do not have internet and mobile banking, you can contact your Account Manager or call our Client Services team on 1800 025 484 to request this information.

Users with full internet banking access can view and download statements up to the last five years for their Foreign Currency Account via internet and mobile banking. If you do not have internet and mobile banking or need a statement beyond the past five years, you can call our Client Services team on 1800 025 484 and they will be able to email statements to you.
