Rabobank is proud to have launched our first inaugural Rabobank Land Stewardship Award (RLSA) in 2026.
We received 40 diverse applications from across Australia, each with a shared belief - that healthy land is the foundation of a successful business and a resilient, future‑ready agricultural sector.

Meet the Land Stewardship Award Winners & Finalists
Danny Flanery – Galong, NSW
One of two winners of the inaugural Rabobank Land Stewardship Award, Danny Flanery runs a mixed grazing and farming operation at Galong in southern NSW. Danny saw first-hand the results of many years of overstocking and the resulting impact on the land, setting about to restore the landscape, his story reveals the imperative of healthy land to running a productive and profitable business.
Ardie Lord – Lord Pastoral, Richmond, QLD
One of two winners of the inaugural Rabobank Land Stewardship Award, Ardie Lord runs a large pastoral beef operation in Queensland. In this 5 minute video, Ardie shares how the health of the land underpins the entire philosophy of the business.
Di & Sandy Martin – Baratta Pastoral, SA Mid North
Di and Sandy Martin of Baratta Pastoral were one of 6 finalists in the 2026 RLSA. In this 5 minute video, they share their story of running a mixed farming and pastoral operation while managing fragile landscapes and climate challenges in outback Australia.
The Barclay Family – Mingawalla Ag, VIC
The Barclay Family of Mingawalla Ag were one of 6 finalists in the 2026 RLSA. In this 5 minute video, they share their inspiring story of grazing management, soil health and landscape restoration.
Tyson Armitage – Wamara Farming, Darling Downs QLD
Tyson Armitage of Wamara Farming was one of 6 finalists in the 2026 RLSA. Tyson explains the importance of beneficial insects in reducing pesticide applications in cotton crops. His story of bringing biodiversity to intensive cotton systems is inspiring.
Pete & Bundle Lawson – Trewalla Partnership, NSW Riverina
Pete and Bundle Lawson of Trewalla Partnership were one of 6 finalists in the 2026 RLSA. In this 5 minute video, they share their story of improving their land through management and the joy they get from returning health and biodiversity to their agricultural operation.
Knowledge and education are key to adapting and evolving to constant changes in the operating environment. Our research and case studies, education initiatives, sector partnerships and financial solutions are available to help farmers and agribusinesses determine their own path forward, with our staff on the ground working hand-in-hand with producers in a practical and meaningful way.
