The Bunbury region is one of the most diverse food bowls of Australia, and a Rabobank collaboration with Channel 10’s Farm to Fork is helping showcase local produce, whilst educating urban consumers.

‘Farm to Fork’ celebrating the ag industry and our clients’ produce

Area Manager, Martin Anderson said Rabobank’s partnership with Farm to Fork, which visits Rabo clients on-farm to share stories on their produce and how it’s grown, was a valuable opportunity.

“It was a thrill to take Farm to Fork host Michael Weldon to visit local mandarin producers in Harvey, as well as avocado growers and passionfruit producers in Manjimup.”

“As a dedicated agri bank, we are committed to promoting the importance of the ag industry and growing Australians’ understanding of where their food comes from.”

An experienced team leading the region

Martin has over 40 years of rural banking experience and enjoys working hand-in-hand with farmers, supporting them to achieve their business goals.

“We’re a relationship focused team and we all have a genuine interest in supporting our farmers to thrive.”

Growing up in the region, Senior Rural Manager, Joe Musitano, has been with Rabobank for over 20 years, and is passionate about sharing his local ag insights and knowledge.

Originally from Lake Grace, with a population of just 200, Senior Rural Manager, Darren Clifford has a grassroots understanding of our rural communities and their unique needs.

The team also includes Mexico-born Rural Manager, Mariana Parra Loza who brings a global wealth of knowledge, as well as Relationship Analysts Gail Hall and Laine Williamson, who Martin describes as the ‘engine room’ of the branch.

Supporting through agri knowledge

With a focus on knowledge-sharing, Martin is proud of Rabobank’s 20 year sponsorship of Dairy Innovation Day.

“These are the sort of events that are integral in providing global perspectives, and how that can impact farm business decisions locally.”

The Bunbury branch have been long-term partners of Southern DIRT and enjoy collaborating with growers in sharing knowledge and networks to help create vibrant, healthy and prosperous farming communities.

He reflected on the broad cross section of local agricultural offerings.

“Our area benefits from a range of soil types, and vast rainfall averages, and produces everything from beef, dairy, broadacre cropping and horticulture.”

“There’s never a dull moment supporting our clients to achieve their aspirations.”
