We're passionate about supporting Ag communities

Agricultural & Rural Sponsorships

Rabobank's single focus is Australian agribusiness.

Our teams live and work where you do and are passionate about the future of life on the land.

Our sponsorships aim to support the prosperity of agriculture, farmers and rural communities, and we seek to work with organisations that are committed to the same values.

If you have an opportunity that benefits the food and agribusiness industry, a specific sector, commodity, or region and offers meaningful Ag community engagement, please get in touch.

A few examples of our many sponsorships...

The Australian Dairy Conference

We have sponsored the Australian Dairy Conference since its inception in 2003, when the event first took place in Shepparton, Victoria. The nation’s premier dairy industry event, the Australian Dairy Conference brings together 300-400 leading dairy farmers, researchers and industry representatives, to showcase national and global innovative dairy practices. As the exclusive financial services provider supporting the conference, we are proud of our long term partnership with the conference, and delight in also sharing our extensive networks and global dairy expertise to shape the program year on year.

Liebe Group

The Liebe Group is a not-for-profit grower organisation based in Western Australia. The group conducts research and development in the grains industry, providing insights to 120 farm businesses in the wheatbelt of WA and working alongside industry bodies to improve rural profitability, lifestyle and natural resources. The Dalwallinu Rabobank branch has been a key sponsor of The Liebe Group since its establishment in 1997.

In a ‘knowledge partnership’ pilot with Liebe Group, we delivered a mentoring program to local growers, fostering the exchange of ideas and expertise. We engaged the services of a consulting group to deliver an induction workshop for mentor/mentee training, facilitate discussions and establish objectives of each of the one-to-one sessions over the course of 9 months.

Participating farmers were encouraged to broaden their networks, improve their communication skills and build self confidence.

National Merino Sheep Show & Sale

Rabobank has been supporting the country’s leading wool industry event, the Rabobank National Merino Sheep Show & Ram Sale for the last 20 years. The annual show brings together a variety of first class genetics from each state to be judged for the national prize, and through our involvement we have an opportunity to engage with woolgrowers from across the country and overseas.

As naming rights sponsors of the event, held annually in Dubbo, New South Wales, we also host a cocktail party to announce the results of the Supreme Merino Ram Competition. As with all major sponsorships, we are also involved in the review and post-event debrief process to ensure we continue to make a valuable contribution to this key industry event.

Northern Territory Cattlemens Association

The Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA) is a peak industry body representing the majority of the Territory’s pastoral industry. We have proudly sponsored the annual NTCA conference for over 10 years through a commitment of funds and in-kind support. With access to a network of leading producers, global experts and industry spokespeople, we support the keynote speaker at the event each year, along with hosting a trade stand to promote Rabobank’s latest products, services and research to the 500 delegates who attend annually.

Given the distance and isolation of this group, this is a key strategic partnership for the bank to enable meaningful engagement with the industry once a year, and we are incredibly proud of our long association with the group.
