Rabobank Australia has announced it is increasing its four month introductory High Interest Savings Account (HISA) variable interest rate to five per cent per annum*.
Head of Rabobank Online Savings Julie Blanchard said the move means eligible new HISA customers could earn an interest rate of five per cent per annum** to help boost their savings.
“And there's no need for customers to switch their existing transactional banking to be able to access this new rate,” Ms Blanchard said. “Customers can link their Rabobank HISA to their everyday transaction account held at another bank.”
Ms Blanchard said 100 per cent of money deposited with Rabobank Online Savings funds Australian farmers and agribusinesses to bring food to Australian tables. “So not only do customers get a great rate of return on their savings, they can feel good that their money is helping our Australian farming and agriculture industry,” she said.
"Rabobank offers specialised online savings and term deposits to ensure customers can maximise returns. Customers can access their funds online by transferring funds from their Rabobank accounts to their linked nominated account when needed.”
Ms Blanchard said personal savings rates for all other Rabobank Online Saving products – including PremiumSaver, Notice Saver and selected Term Deposit rates – would also be increasing, by varying amounts.
The four month introductory High Interest Savings Account (HISA) variable interest rate increase will be effective from 15 March 2023. Further details can be found at Rabobank Online Savings | Rabobank Australia.
* This offer applies to balances up to $250k and for individual personal and joint customers. Introductory rate applies from the day the account is opened.
** After the first four months the HISA interest rate reverts to a competitive variable base rate of which is currently 3.75 per cent.
